    Description: 
    A full-length bronze portrait of Skekilammy (or Shikellamy), an Iroquois Indian, mounted upon a large boulder of local fieldstone. He stands barechested and wears a loincloth, with his proper right hand raised in a gesture of salute. He holds a pipe in his proper left hand at waist level.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture honors Shikellam, Conrad Weiser's friend and a negotiator for the Iroquois. Shikellam was appointed by the Onondaga Council of the Iroquois Confederacy to oversee Pennsylvania's Indian inhabitants. The sculpture was placed by the fraternal lodge The Improved Order of Redmen. Conrad Weiser Park, also referred to as the Conrad Weiser Homestead, has been designated a national landmark. For related reading see "Echoes of Scholla," by Arthur D. Graeff and George M.
