    Description: 
    An abstract sculpture constructed with a curved line attached to a fan-like shape that rises up and is joined with other fan-shaped pieces at the top. Five bars stacked at the bottom of the sculpture represent the continents participating in the International Theater Olympiad for which the sculpture was commissioned. The sculpture was originally painted brown, but was repainted orange-red by the sculptor in 1984.

    Remarks: 
    Funded with a National Endowment for the Arts, Art in Public Places grant given in 1975 to the Detroit Parks and Recreation Department. Additional funding was provided by Central Business District Association, the Detroit Department of Recreation, and the Michigan Council for the Arts. The sculpture was commissioned by the Detroit Department of Recreation through the People's Art: 200 Minus One, a Bicentennial project, to salute the International Theater Olympiad that was held in Detroit the week of June 23rd, 1975. In 1984, the sculptor was hired by the Detroit Parks and Recreation Department to repaint his sculpture.
