Description:
A young girl sits on the edge of a wall with an open book in her lap and a long-haired cat sitting next to her. The girl has bangs and shoulder-length hair parted on the side and clasped with a hair-clip. She wears a sleeveless sundress with a bow in front and sandals on her feet. She supports an open book with her proper left hand and points to a cat in the book with her proper right hand. The book has a bird, a butterfly and the letter 'B' in relief on the proper left page and a cat and the letter 'C' in relief on the proper right page.

Remarks:
Cast no. 9. Donated by the Loveland Sculpture Group, with proceeds raised at the Loveland Sculpture Invitational Show and Sale in August 1992. The sculpture cost $4,000. IAS files contain related articles from the Loveland Daily Reporter-Herald, Nov. 28-29, 1992; and June 12-13, 1993; and copy of City's Art in Public Places Donation Form, dated Jan. 25, 1993. The model for the sculpture was the artist's cousin and her pet.
