    Description: 
    Five rectangular reliefs on the facade of the Michigan Bell Telephone Company building contain allegorical figures illustrating: (from left to right) the Farm, the Home, the Factory, the Office, and the Michigan Bell Telephone Company logo. The Farm depicts a standing male figure holding a farm tool. The Home depicts a standing female figure with a telephone receiver held to her ear and a child standing by her side. The Factory depicts a standing male figure operating a large throttle that controls a set of gears behind him. The Office depicts two female telephone operators with switchboard equipment. The company logo relief depicts a large globe wrapped in telephone cable and a large hand holding a bunch of lightning bolts.
