Description:
Mary, seated, holds the dead Christ across her lap. She props Christ's shoulders with her proper right arm above her proper right leg. Christ's legs hang over Mary's proper left leg. Mary wears long robes and a hood while Christ wears a loincloth. The sculpture sits atop a shelf atop a pedestal with a plaque and a gold mosaic cross. The pedestal rests on one end of a platform. The sculpture is within a niche.
