    Description: 
    Ten-sectioned bridge railing contains symmetrical overlapping Y forms combined with more twisted organic elements. The rails are painted "ravenswood" or a deep green/gray.

    Commissioned by Bausch and Lomb for $150,000 as a gift to the City of Rochester. The project was initiated by the Rochester Downtown Development Corporation (RDDC) and painted according to the specifications of the City. IAS files contain a brochure from the Paley Studios and an accession record from the Paley Archive; and articles from Update, a publication of the RDDC, v. 7 no. 2, Fall 1987; Criterion (Buffalo, New York), Dec. 1, 1988; the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, July 29, 1989; Wolfe Magazine, Oct. 3-5, 1989, and Transportation Digest, Nov. 1989.
