    Remarks: 
    The sculpture cost $147,535 and was funded through the Art-in-Architecture program. It was commissioned by the General Services Administration for the New Federal Building at Federal Plaza. The sculpture was designed to be sensitive to the Art-Deco style of the neighboring courthouse. IAS files contain newspaper articles from the Asheville Citizen-Times: June 26, 1995; June 26, 1995, pg. 1A, 3A; July 2, 1995, pg. 9A, 14A; Sept. 14, 1995, pg. 1B, 4B; Nov. 14, 1995; a brochure from the Art-in-Architecture program; and a seven page report from the General Services Administration.
