Located Barnsdall Art Park, 4800 Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles, California
    Remarks:
The sculpture was donated to the city. To create the site-specific sculpture, a two-inch diameter rope was soaked in gasoline, then placed in a serpentine form on the ground. The rope was ignited and the river rocks were placed along the path formed by the burned rope. The largest rock, the "head" of the snake was taken from Tujunga Wash; all other rocks came from where Western Avenue meets Long Beach. IAS files contain copies of related city donation form and memorandum.
