    A granite shaft adorned at the top with a bronze sculpture of a soldier's cap, canteen, knapsack, and blanket roll resting on top of a drum. Each side of the shaft features carved images of a row of stars, a trefoil, and a column.

    The monument (also referred to as MN 204) is on the National Park Service, List of Classified Structures, and is referenced in the Gettysburg National Military Park Archives, vol. 27, 1975-1976. The monument is one of twenty erected on the battlefield to honor the services of Ohio troops.
