    Description: 
    A square granite base adorned with the star insignia of the Grand Army of the Republic was once topped by a bronze figure of a Civil War Soldier holding his rifle. Although the sculpture was stolen on June 25, 1951, the base remains at the crest of a hill surrounded by the graves of men who fought in the Civil War.

    The bronze sculpture of a Civil War soldier was stolen on June 25, 1951, but the granite base remains. IAS image files contain photographs of only the base.
