Anna Barbara (Kantzer) Rittenhouse (1860-1909) was born in Ashland County, Ohio. She was one of the ten children of George Kantzer Jr. and Catharine (Taber) Kantzer. She became the wife of Curtis W. Rittenhouse on September 27, 1885. They had no children together. She died unexpectedly at the age of 48 in 1909, after suddenly falling ill and subsequently taken to Cleveland Lakeside hospital for an operation that she did not survive. Her cause of death was listed as peritonitis. She is buried in Wooster Cemetery.
