Born on April 2, 1844 in Plain Township, Wayne County, Ohio. The son of Benjamin and Susan Branstetter Eason. He was a prominent lawyer and judge.

Honorable Samuel B. Eason (1844-1914) was born in Springville, Plain Township, Wayne County, Ohio on April 2, 1844, the son of Honorable Benjamin Eason. Samuel enlisted in the army on May 27, 1862 and served three months. He then studied at the Vermilion Institute, Hayesville, Ohio, and in the law department of the University of Michigan, graduating in 1869. He practiced law about thirty-five years in Wooster. He was elected Common Pleas Court Judge in 1897 and served until 1909. He died in 1914.
