    Remarks:
IAS files contain excerpts from "Historical Tour of Edwardsville" publication which states that the marble was footed on the basin of an old fountain and the ring of that fountain can still be seen. Governor Charles Deneen attended the dedication ceremony and Mary Elizabeth Edwards, a descendant of Governor Ninian Edwards, unveiled the model.
