Description:
The work depicts a total of four snowy egrets perched on three tree stumps. Each tree stump is mounted on a tall block of granite of varying heights.

Remarks:
The Richard G. Hocevar Building was originally named the Consolidated Office Building (COB), and the sculpture was dedicated at the building's dedication. IAS files contain the artists statement and sketches for the sculpture; an excerpt from the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission publication entitled "Pipeline," n.d., pg. 13; and a Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission brochure from May 1992, entitled "WSCC Consolidated Office Building."
