Nearby plaque: "Fountain restored in memory of Robert Benham, County Assessor, 1961-1972." The sculpture is a life-sized replica of Moretti's "Hebe at the Fountain". IAS files contain an excerpt from the Crawford County Bicentennial Commission's "An Historical Salute to Crawford County", Van Buren, AR: The Courier, 1976, pg. 8.
In 2003, the Department of Arkansas Heritage reported that this sculpture was moved to an indoor site, and was replaced by a second cast (74850034) taken directly from this sculpture. The images on file show the sculpture in its former outdoor location.
