Male lion roaring while performing a circus-style trick. The lion's proper left, front leg is raised and is supported at the wrist by a three sided metal post. The proper right, front leg stands atop a low, spool-shaped platform. The proper right, rear leg is slightly forward. Both back legs carry the weight of the lion. The lion's head is turned upward toward the proper left side.

The sculpture was commissioned by Jay Sarno, the CEO of Circus Circus. After another sculpture, "Circus Gorilla" was vandalized, the artist placed a cage around the "Lion" sculpture to protect it from the people.
