    Owner:
Chelsea United Methodist Retirement Home, 805 West Middle Street, Chelsea, Michigan 48118
    Provenance:
Formerly located Chelsea Methodist Home, 805 West Middle Street, Chelsea, Michigan 48118
    Remarks:
The Chelsea United Methodist Retirement Home was known as the Chelsea Methodist Home when the sculpture was dedicated. The sculpture cost $3,000 and was dedicated on the Home's fortieth anniversary. The sculpture was moved to the south of the lawn when the building was being torn down, and then moved back to nearly the same location (but now faces east rather than west). IAS files contain an excerpt from a related 1946 brochure from the Home soliciting funding for the sculpture, and program for the Home's fortieth anniversary.
