    A figure of Hank Williams, dressed in a shirt, tie, sportcoat, pants, cowboy boots and cowboy hat, stands holding a guitar with both hands. The figure is placed atop an inscribed base that is decorated on the front sides with musical note designs.

    Remarks: 
    Hank Williams, 1923-1953, was a famous country-western singer. Doug and Sandra McDonald were the sculptors, Carmela Stephen assisted them, and Hoka Hey Fine Arts Foundry fabricated the statue. Mayor Emory Folmar, the Montgomery City Council, Merle Kilgore, Cecil & Betty Jackson, Irene Williams Smith, and the Clay Henley Houditch Memorial and Stone Company of Montgomery Alabama all contributed in making the statue possible.
