    Description: 
    Saint Paul stands, robed and barefoot, with a head covering. He holds his proper left hand open and upturned at chest level, with his proper right hand on the handle of sword at waist level, the point of which rests by his foot.

    Remarks: 
    Statue is paired with a statue of Saint Peter (IAS record KY000190). Both statues, as well as two mythological lion sculptures also located in front of the church (IAS records KY000183 and KY000184) were all created by Franz Mayer Studio in Munich, Germany, and shipped together for placement at the church. The total cost for all four pieces was $2,400. Carl Brothers Construction Company placed the statue in position. IAS files contain church brochure, and transcription of shipping details and costs as found in Parish archives bound scrapbook, Historia, Vol. III, p. 75.
