Description:
One of three sound sculptures hanging between the subway tracks at the Kendall Square Station. Pythagoras consists of thirty vertically hanging elements --fourteen hammers and sixteen tubular bells. The sculpture is activated by a handle, one on each side of the tracks, which causes the elements to strike together and make the sound of ringing bells.
