    A bust of Count Nicholas Ludwig von Zinzendorf with long hair and a cravat. The bust has a greenish-grey patina and is mounted upon a square brick base with a white marble cap.

    Remarks: 
    Count Nicholas Ludwig von Zinzendorf (1700-1760) was the founding patron of the Moravians who established Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He is credited with naming the city on Christmas Eve, 1741. The bust was commissioned by members of Moravian historic, civic, and business groups of Bethlehem, who formed a Zinzendorf Bust Committee in 1979. IAS files contain: photocopy of dedication program; and an article from the Bethlehem Globe-Times, identified only as April 1979.
