    Description: 
    Bas-relief wall mural featuring a portrait of Father Alfred Boedekker surrounded by children and scenes from San Francisco. Images incorporated in the mural include animals, plants, a city street with cars and houses, airplanes and birds. The mural is of glass fiber reinforced concrete and is framed with a plain concrete border.

    Remarks: 
    The artist was assisted by the children of Redding Elementary School, who created images in pastry dough. These images were then incorporated into the overall design of the mural. IAS files contain copy of related May 13, 1986 Art Commission Memorandum.
