    Remarks:
Commissioned by Robert Boeke as a tribute to his grandfather, August Boeke, a farmer who planted the tree from which the sculpture is carved. The figure was modelled after Hank Anders, a local citizen. The tree was killed after being struck by lightning in 1991. Rather than remove the stump, Mr. Boeke commissioned the sculpture.
