A bust of Wilbur D. Mills wearing eyeglasses. He is dressed in a suit, vest and necktie. The bust is atop a rectangular pedestal. The pedestal rises out of one side of a bricked planter box.

Remarks:
A bust of Wilbur D. Mills, United States Congressman from Arkansas from 1939 to 1977. Mills was chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee for 17 of his 38 years in Congress. As a Congressman, Mills sponsored the Greers Ferry Dam and Reservoir Project, near which his bust now resides. During his early years in public service, Mills was a County and Probate Judge for White County. He died in 1992. IAS files contain a clipping from the Sun-Times (Heber Springs, Ar), Nov. 10, 1993, pg. 1-2, discussing the dedication of the sculpture and IAS files contain a dedication program. For additional reading, see: Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, May 2, 1993, pg. 3D.
