    Description: 
    An abstract kinetic sculpture consisting of a large open cube containing delicate curved metal strips designed to move with the slightest breeze. The base of the sculpture is a very tall pole.

    Formerly located Ihara, Michio, studio, Concord, Massachusetts 1984-1989.
    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was funded by private donations and by the artist. In 1984, due to construction of the subway beneath Central Square, the sculpture was moved to the artist's studio in Concord, Massachusetts. In 1989, the sculpture was reinstalled in a slightly different location in Central Square. In 1992, one of the metal strips was repaired. IAS files contain an excerpt from "Public Art in Cambridge," Cambridge, MA: Cambridge Arts Council, 1984, pg. 12.
