Inscription:  (Dated) (Markings include sequential assembly codes for installation, consisting of combinations of numeric and alphabetic characters) unsigned Founder's mark appears. Description:  Aluminum beams, standing vertically and stacked horizontally in a step-like arrangement that is frontally square, and peripherally slightly curved. When light hits the sculpture and shadows are created, a spiraling curvilinear effect is achieved. April 1983. In 1989, the University of Houston reported that the medium of the sculpture was burnished aluminum; in 1993, the Save Outdoor Sculpture, Texas survey, reported that the medium of the sculpture was brushed aluminum.
