    Description: 
    The pavilion is a giant treehouse constructed with a large platform covered by a lattice canopy. A sixty-foot ramp leads up to one end of the pavilion. The pavilion is located twenty-four feet over a ravine known as Lansdowne Glen.

    The sculpture was commissioned by the Fairmount Park Art Association at a cost of $180,000. It is one of several works commissioned in 1980 as part of a program known as "Form and Function: Proposals for Public Art for Philadelphia." IAS files contain newspaper articles from The Philadelphia Sun, Oct. 24, 1993, pg. 4 and The Philadelphia Inquirer, Oct. 27, 1993.
