    Description: 
    Light matrix sculpture composed of 16 black steel columns jutting 40 feet into the air, set into a 64 square foot grid. The sculpture is painted black. Attached to all four sides of each beam are 48 squares of mylar, 768 squares total. The squares reflect colored light that changes with the movement of the sun.

    Commissioned by the Colorado Council on the Arts and Humanities for its State Art in Public Places Program. The cost was approximately $30,000. IAS files include a portion of the contract between the artist and the City and a related article from the Gazette-Telegraph (Colorado Springs, CO), Aug. 13, 1985. IAS files contain Survey form from Western Center for the Conservation of Fine Arts, July 26, 1989.
