Description:
Monument consists of a die with rough-hewn edges and smooth faces in the centers. It stands on a low rough-hewn base and has a "shingled" or layered cap. A four-sided cross, the Corps insignia tops the cap at its apex. A relief of the New York State Seal is affixed to the front.

Remarks:
Monument is one of 90 honoring New York troops who participated in the Gettysburg campaign. It marks the position occupied by the 122nd New York Infantry after 9:00 A.M. on July 3, 1863. The monument (referred to as MN 322) is listed in the National Park Service, List of Classified Structures and is referenced in the Gettysburg National Military Park Archives, vol. 22.
