    Description: 
    Jesus kneeling between two standing children, a boy and a girl. His hands are raised with the elbows bent, as if about to embrace each child. The girl stands at Jesus's proper right with a dove in her hands. The boy stands with his proper left arm resting on Jesus's proper left knee. Jesus is dressed in a robe and sandals, and the children wear short tunic-like clothing. This work was cast in three sections.

    Remarks: 
    The idea for the sculpture originated with the congregation in July 1960. Cost of the sculpture was approximately $4000.00. Irmscher & Sons donated their installation services. IAS files contain a related article from "This Day," October, 1962, a publication of the Lutheran Brotherhood. IAS files also contain copies of the dedication booklets and a list of donors.
