Description:
Female figure, both hands holding five lightning bolts (of energy) and abstract patterns in a ring high overhead. With bare arms, abdomen and feet, she is draped in fabric (symbolic of Rock Hill's textile heritage) which becomes wings as it billows at her back. Pointed feet just rest on a sphere on a square base. Eyes cast down, long, tightly coiled hair gathered with a ribbon down back. A star on forehead with a rose in hair above.

Remarks:
Commissioned by Rock Hill Economic Development Corporation and funded through private donations. The statue is one of four Civitas sculptures and two Masonic columns in a landscaped setting, creating a gateway for the city of Rock Hill.
Audrey
Flack
created the statues; architect Michael Gallis designed the Gateway.
