Parrot, founder of Parrot Packing Company. The sculpture was commissioned by Richard Parrot, as requested in his father's will. The sculpture cost $15,000 and was modeled by 1972. It was cast and dedicated in 1976. The sculpture commemorates the early Jesuit priests/explorers who came from Canada in the 17th century to bring Christianity to the American wilderness.
