    Remarks:
In 1943, the contract for the reredos was awarded to the Hillgarten Marble Company of Baltimore, Maryland, and they were responsible for the architectural settings and niches. Angel Lualdi was contracted to prepare the models for the figures from drawings by architect Donald Robb. Angel Lualdi modeled and carved the figures in his Cambridge, Massachusetts studio. The Cathedral's resident carver, Italo Fanfani, assisted in the carving. On March 1, 1968, Walker Hancock was signed to prepare models for the figure of Christ, which is still in plaster, while the remaining portions of the reredos are in caen stone.
