    Remarks:
The sculpture was conceived by Paul C. Hedberg, who envisioned it as a tourist attraction. The sculpture cost $43,000, funded through private donation. It was originally "premiered" during the dedication of I-90 on Sept. 23, 1978, where it hung from a crane. Following the donation of a base by Ankeny & Wiederhold, the sculpture was permanently installed at its present site on July 6, 1979. IAS files contain transcript of article from the Post Ambassador, July 12-19, 1984, with partial list of donors; and Blue Earth Area Chamber of Commerce flyer n.d. 1995 SOS! survey form lists fabricator as F.A.S.T. Corp.; Post Ambassador article July 12-19, 1984 lists fabricator as Creative Displays.
