Description:
Bust of Juan Bautista de Anza sits atop a round stone base with a relief carving around its circumference. The relief depicts a procession of early Spanish settlers including men, women, one child and a priest in robes, carrying a cross. Some ride horses, others walk. There are seven horses and two cows interspersed with cacti. The round stone base rests on a two-tiered concrete base.
