    Description: 
    Site installation consisting of several elements including a round marble column. Located next to the column is a rough-hewn piece of granite. Two ceramic hands emerge from the top of the granite. The fingers reach skyward. The column and sculpture stand on a marble base in the center of a rectangular fountain basin.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture commemorates Cuban refugees lost at sea. The City of Miami donated the land in Bayfront Park on which the sculpture is sited. $30,000 in donations and donated goods were raised privately to defray the cost of the sculpture.
