Inscription:  (At lower right of relief:) LOUISE ALLEN (On relief on either side of figure:) MCMXVII MCMXIX/THE TOWN OF EAST GREENWICH ERECTS THIS/MEMORIAL IN GRATEFUL REMEMBRANCE OF HER/CITIZENS WHO SERVED IN THE MILITARY OR/NAVAL FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES OR THE/ALLIES DURING THE WORLD WAR./THEY CARRIED ON THAT LIBERTY MIGHT BE ENJOYED/THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. (Plaque on rear of monument lists 139 names of East Greenwich citizens who served in the World War) signed Description:  Full-length female figure in classical dress in relief set upon a square base. The figure is full round from the torso up. Her arms are extended to the sides, and she holds a classical slag in both hands.
