Remarks:
The fountain was originally created to have a wave mechanism that created waves from 6 to 24 inches in height. IAS files contain an article from the Washington Post, Nov. 20, 1993, pg. B6; and an excerpt from "Public Art in Downtown Silver Spring, Staff Report," The Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission, April 1992, pg. 19-21, which includes the artist's statement.
