Inscription:  (North side where pillar meets concrete footing:) Patrick unsigned Description:  Three sloping legs support a central chaotic arrangement, surmounted by six vertical shafts. Subject:  Abstract Disaster -- Storm -- Tornado Object Type:  Outdoor Sculpture -- Nebraska -- Omaha Sculpture Owner:  Administered by City of Omaha, Parks and Recreation, 1819 Farnam Street, Administration Room 701, Omaha, Nebraska 68183 Located Pipal Park, 78th & West Center Road, Omaha, Nebraska Remarks:  The sculpture is named after the artist's son and commemorates one of the most destructive tornadoes in the history of the U.S., which devastated parts of Omaha on May 5, 1975. The metal pieces used for the sculpture are leftovers from the tornado. Approximately $1,000 of the $1,500 costs came from private and public organizations, including the University of Nebraska-Omaha Research Fund and the Nebraska Arts Council.
