Remarks:
Gutterson and Corlett designed the building, which was completed in 1939/1940. Sculpture and building were projects of the Works Progress Administration. IAS file includes citation to Robert Bernhard's "Buildings of Berkley, Phase II," (Oakland, CA): Forest Hills Press, 1991. Berkeley Historical Society files include City of Berkeley Landmark application.
