The monument (also referred to as MN 194) is on the National Park Service, List of Classified Structures, and is referenced in the Gettysburg National Military Park Archives, vol. ?, 1975-1976. The monument marks the second position held by the Ninth Massachusetts Battery on July 2, 1863.
