Description:
Ten-sided cylindrical fountain set in three tiers. At top is a five-sectioned dome with a small pipe emitting from its center. Below the dome is a tier of ten panels, five of which have carvings over the surfaces of Hawaiian life, including scenes of food preparation, agriculture and religion. The remaining five panels are plain stone blocks stacked three per panel. The bottom and largest tier is filled in with concrete, giving it a slightly sloped surface.

Remarks:
Title supplied by Inventory cataloger.
Built by workers of the Federal Emergency Relief Administration in cooperation with the School's Parent-Teacher Association and the City and County of Honolulu. Sculpture is no longer a working fountain. A tier which once served as a retaining pool has been removed and the area has been paved over with concrete. IAS files include diagrams of the fountain and a related article from "Paradise of the Pacific," Aug. 1936 which has a photograph of the original fountain.
