    Depiction of an open book with steel rods used as the binding. The proper right side resembles pages of the book. The book has carvings of a stork, hourglass, moon, child, circle, and house.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was created through a community project in which students from Emerson School were able to participate throughout the project. The project had the backing of the Albuquerque Public Schools and the City of Albuquerque. Blankley was paid $17,5000 to produce the work from the city's One Percent for the Arts Program. IAS files contain a copy of the project initiation form from the City of Albuquerque dated April 17, 1987 and related correspondence.
