    Description: 
    A column, part of a larger arched pedestrian colonnade, that functions as a fountain. A veil of water runs from the top corner tower of the parking garage over granite walls into a pool at the bottom of the fountain where it disappears in river rocks and is recirculated.

    Remarks: 
    IAS files contain a related article from Sacramento Union (Sacramento, CA), Aug. 24, 1989, pg. 25, 66; which includes a photograph of the model for the piece and discusses plans for its installation. Berry was commissioned by the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission to create this piece as a result of a juried invitational competition. Berry worked closely with the architectural firm of Niiya, Calpo, Hom and Dong in creating this piece. The work cost $220,000 and was funded as part of the City's 2 Percent-for-Arts program.
