    The sculpture was initiated by the Fitler Square Neighborhood Association. The sculpture is the first in an edition of five. Children climb on the sculpture. The inscription on a plaque in the ground near the sculpture reads: "Family of Turtles"/Eric Berg Sculptor/in memory of/Joan Stern Switzenbaum/Donated by her sister/Virginia Stern Kaufman/March 18, 1989.
