    Remarks: 
    A saengerfest is a festival of singers or song. Sculpture was a gift of the United Singers of the Borough of Brooklyn. IAS files contain a copy of the Art Commission of the City of New York's "Work of Art Form" dated March 18, 1910 which indicates approval of the gift of the sculpture was given on April 21, 1910. For related information see: Lancaster, Clay, "Prospect Park Handbook," New York, 1972, pg. 58-60 which describes the location of the sculpture; and Huntington, Edna, "Historical Markers and Monuments in Brooklyn," Brooklyn: Long Island Historical Society, 1952, pg. 45.
