Description:
Stylized family group of three figures; mother, father and child. Their arms are upraised in celebration. The father figure is located in the rear, center. To his proper left is the mother figure, and to his proper right is the child figure. Figures stand on angled bronze foundation mounted on angled base.

Remarks:
Sculpture was commissioned by Mutual Savings Association for Heritage Court, site of former home office building which was turned into a public space as a gift to the community. Nearby plaque reads: DEDICATED TO ALL WHO CAME BEFORE US - FROM OUR PIONEERS TO OUR PARENTS. TO THESE WE OWE OUR FREEDOM, FAITH, COUNTRY, COMMUNITY AND LIVES. MAY WE ENJOY AND PROTECT THE GOOD THINGS OF LIFE IN MID-AMERICA THAT OUR HERITAGE HAS MADE POSSIBLE. IAS files contain related article from Leavenworth Times (Leavenworth, KS), July 26, 1981, pg.1.
