    Description: 
    A stalking Bengal tiger. The tiger's proper left paw is extended forward and its body is crouched low to the ground. The sculpture is carved from a single redwood log and is mounted on reinforced concrete pilings which rest on a concrete slab base.

    Title supplied by Inventory cataloger.
    The sculpture was presented to the school as a student project of the freshman and sophomore classes in 1959. Cost of the sculpture was $2,000. Funds were raised by the students. The redwood for the sculpture was selected from the Hume Lake area forest. IAS files contain copy of related article from The Jungle Chant (Reedley College, Reedley, CA), Feb. 20, 1959.
