Description:
Bronze bust of an African-American Persian Gulf War soldier. He wears a helmet with straps fastened under the chin. There are goggles on top of the helmet. He wears an open-collar shirt. The sculpture rests on a concrete column which ends in a square base.

Remarks:
The sculpture is one in a series of eleven busts of soldiers done by the artist representing each of the major wars in which America has been involved. Cost of the sculpture was about $15,000. Funds for the sculpture came from donations. IAS files contain copy of related article from The Star, Aug. 4, 1993 and copy of related Hospital information sheet.
