    Description: 
    Three abstract relief figures mounted on the side of a building. Two figures are mounted near the top of the building. On the left is a figure of a flute player. The figure is striding forward, its head turned back. It holds a black flute to its mouth. The figure on the right plays a black long-necked lute or stringed instrument. The figure faces the flute player. The third figure is mounted lower on the wall and is a full-length nude female figure of a dancer. She has black hair drawn back in a bun. Her arms are raised towards her proper right and her head is turned to the proper left. Her proper right leg is bent out. The bronze sculptures have a green patina.

    Nearby plaque: "Joan Brown. American b. 1938. Dancing Figures 1985-1986. Bronze. Collection of the City and County of San Francisco. Commissioned by the San Francisco Arts Commission for the San Francisco Parking Authority." The sculpture was commissioned in two stages: the two figures with musical instruments were installed first; the dancer was a result of the second phase of the contract. IAS files contain copies of related artist's sketch and related January 1986 San Francisco Arts Commission questionnaire.
